Dave Lee Travis cleared of 12 indecent assault charges

The former BBC DJ Dave Lee Travis has been found not guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.

The jury at Southwark Crown Court failed to reach a verdict on a further count of indecent assault and one charge of sexual assault.

Outside the court, the presenter said he had been through 'a year and a half of hell'.

There will be a further hearing later this month, to decide whether there should be a retrial on the two outstanding charges.

June Kelly reports.
