Leeds police arrest man after female officer shot

Police in Leeds have arrested a 37-year-old man following the shooting of a female police officer early on Wednesday morning.

The officer and a colleague were answering a routine call regarding a disturbance in the Headingley area of the city.

Police launched a manhunt following the incident, in which the officer was seriously injured.
