Joanna Lumley celebrates end of Gurkha hunger strike
A Gurkha veteran has ended a 14-day hunger strike over what campaigners say is the government's refusal to give them equal pension rights.
Actress Joanna Lumley, a long-time campaigner for Gurkha rights, was there to celebrate with Gyanraj Raj.
Describing it as "a wonderful day", she said the British prime minister had personally promised it would be a full and open inquiry into all Gurkha grievances.
