Police 'acknowledge' hurt caused to Christopher Jefferies
Christopher Jefferies made front page news in 2010 when he was arrested in connection with the murder of his tenant, Joanna Yates.
When he was released on bail, the police did not publicly make clear that he was no longer a suspect.
Three years later, the new Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset, Nick Gargan, has "acknowledged the hurt" caused to Mr Jefferies during the process but failed to offer a formal apology.
Jon Kay reports.
