CharityGiving.co.uk is suspended over funding concerns

Online donation website CharityGiving.co.uk has been suspended amid fears charities could go unpaid.

The site, which allows users to create their own online fundraising page, was investigated by the Charity Commission following concerns that the organisation had not filed any accounts for three years.

Michelle Russell is the Head of Investigations and Enforcement at the Charity Commission.

She told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast, "There may be a shortfall of around about £250,00 but it's only an initial finding and it may well be more than that... we were left with no choice recently but to intervene."
