Why are fewer children taking up fishing as a hobby?

When the weather is as good as this, the idea of an afternoon fishing by a cool lake can sound very appealing.

Yet despite being thought of as Britain's biggest participation sport, it's actually in decline. There has been a drop of almost 50 percent in the number of children taking up the pastime.
