British Muslims 'perfectly integrated'

Muslims "are an integral part of this country" and the murder of a solider in Woolwich should not be associated with the entire Islamic community, a former army officer says.

Muslims "are an integral part of this country" and the murder of a solider in Woolwich should not be associated with the entire Islamic community, a former army officer has said.

Capt Afzal Amin's comments came after an interfaith group, Faith Matters, warned there had been a huge increase in anti-Muslim incidents since the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby on Wednesday.

Capt Amin, who also formerly chaired the Armed Forces Muslim Association, said that the "vile sickening attackers" had "attacked every one of us".
