Salmond criticises Commons report on Scottish independence

The SNP leader Alex Salmond has dismissed a report from the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee which said that an independent Scotland would leave the rest of the UK's international reputation damaged.

The report by MPs also said that the UK's influence in the EU may decline if there is a yes vote in the 2014 referendum.

But Mr Salmond said that the report had got it wrong.
