Pakistan 'crucial' to Atiya Anjum-Wilkinson return
An MEP and campaigner for the return of abducted girl Atiya Anjum-Wilkinson has praised the authorities in Pakistan for locating her and securing her return to the UK.
Sajjad Karim, a Member of the European Parliament for North West England, said their work in tracing Atiya and forcing her extended family to send her back to her mother in Britain had been "crucial".
Atiya was taken from her home in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, on her third birthday in 2009. Her father Razwan Ali Anjum is serving a prison sentence for refusing to reveal his daughter's whereabouts despite a court order.
