Redundancy talks period halved from 90 to 45 days

The consultation period employees are given before large scale redundancies are carried out is set to be halved, from 90 to 45 days.

Ministers say it will give business "greater certainty and flexibility" when they need to restructure.

But unions have attacked the plan, as John Moylan reports.
