Max Clifford bailed over sex offence allegations
The PR expert Max Clifford has denied "damaging and totally untrue allegations" of historical sexual abuse, after he was released on bail by the Met Police.
Mr Clifford was arrested at his home in Surrey on Thursday morning by officers from Operation Yewtree - the wider inquiry into allegations against Jimmy Savile and others - but not connected to the claims made against the late BBC presenter.
It is understood that the arrest and questioning related to an alleged offence in 1977.
