Ed Davey: Gas price-fix claims 'taken very seriously'

Energy Secretary Ed Davey has said that allegations that wholesale gas market prices were manipulated are being "taken very seriously".

His comments came as he made a statement on the issue in the House of Commons.

Investigations have been launched by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and Ofgem following claims by a whistle-blower.

All of the UK's big six energy suppliers have released statements denying any involvement.
