Live music laws relaxed in public venues

Pubs, clubs and even offices that want to put on a music event are going to find it much easier from now on.

New laws mean premises no longer need a licence for live music, provided they have got fewer than 200 people in the audience and pull the plug before 11pm.

Approximately 13,000 new venues are expected to take advantage.
