Team GB: How does a home advantage work?

Britain's men's gymnastics team have won a bronze medal - their first team medal in the sport since 1912.

They were first told they had won silver but then Japan, who came fourth, won an appeal against bad marks and were awarded second place.

The expectations on Team GB are high because they are thought to benefit from a home advantage.
