Scottish independence: 'Yes' campaign launches

The SNP and other backers have launched their campaign to try to secure a 'yes' vote in a referendum on Scottish independence.

Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond said independence would happen if that milestone was achieved.

But pro-union supporters believe the idea remains largely unpopular among the Scottish electorate and will not happen.
