Student heard 'thud' of explosions at Falmouth docks

More than 50 firefighters are dealing with a large fire at a dockyard in Cornwall where there have been reports of explosions involving gas cylinders.

The fire started at Falmouth docks among acetylene cylinders outside a warehouse at about 0850 BST, causing plumes of black smoke.

Student Adam Rivers said he heard the "thud" of the explosions as he was evacuated.

There have been no reports of any injuries.
