Voyager probe moves between the stars
The Voyager-1 spacecraft has crossed a new frontier, becoming the first manmade object to leave the Solar System.
US space agency Nasa has confirmed the spacecraft is now cruising through what scientists call interstellar space - the vast, cold emptiness between the stars.
Mission chief scientist Prof Ed Stone explained why he felt it was a ''historic'' step.
