Health Secretary Hunt to 'speed up dementia diagnosis'

The health secretary has announced a new scheme to speed up the diagnosis rates for dementia sufferers along with a community awareness campaign.

Jeremy Hunt said the government is "encouraging society" to be more knowledgeable about dementia by supporting an initiative to create "a million dementia friends".

NHS England will invest £90m in an effort to diagnose two-thirds of people with dementia by March next year.
