Burnham: Lewisham A&E decision 'a dangerous precedent'

Shadow health secretary Andy Burnham has said the government's decision to downgrade the A&E and maternity wards at London's Lewisham Hospital is "a dangerous precedent".

Mr Burnham told the BBC that Jeremy Hunt's decision was based on "money, rather than by care quality", saying changes to A&E provision under Labour had been based on clinical need.
