Marquez: 'He really was a one-off' - Ian McEwan

Nobel prize-winning Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez has died in Mexico aged 87.

Garcia Marquez was best known for One Hundred Years of Solitude and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982.

Speaking on BBC Newsnight, author Ian McEwan described him as a "one-off".
