Was it right to silence Bruce Springsteen and Sir Paul McCartney?

Culture blogger Guy Stagg says he was "proud" that organisers followed noise curfew rules and silenced Bruce Springsteen and Sir Paul McCartney at the end of a concert in London's Hyde Park on Saturday.

Headline act Springsteen welcomed Sir Paul on stage for renditions of the Beatles' I Saw Her Standing There and Twist and Shout but they had the plug pulled on them after over-running.

The musicians carried on performing, unaware they could no longer be heard.

Sarfraz Manzoor, a fan who attended the concert, told BBC Radio 5 live's Richard Bacon that it was "outrageous" that the musicians were stopped.
