Ken Loach: 'Politicians cry crocodile tears in parliament'

Film director Ken Loach has railed against the British government's use of private security contractors in Iraq, which he believes makes the war "dangerously secret".

The Kes director accused politicians of "crying crocodile tears in parliament" for fallen soldiers whilst hiding the deaths of private security contractors, effectively making the war secret.

Loach's new film Route Irish tells the story of Fergus, a traumatised private security contractor who rejects the official explanation of his friend's death in Iraq and sets out to discover the truth.
