Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson on saving libraries

Leading children's author Julia Donaldson has criticised proposed government cuts to library services.

Speaking to the BBC, the Gruffalo author emphasised the need for children to be able to 'discover books', and says libraries are vital to British society.

More than 80 events are being held across the UK in protest over threatened library closures.
