Francis Maude: 'Small suppliers winning more contracts'
The government is delivering "much more" of it services through small suppliers, Paymaster General Francis Maude has said.
His comments come after the Public Accounts Committee strongly criticised the government's ability to negotiate and manage outsourcing contracts.
Speaking to the Today programme, Mr Maude also acknowledged the government needed to be more transparent in its issuing of contracts, but claimed it was "making progress".
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Friday 14 March.
