UK workers unhappier than international peers
Workers in the UK are unhappier than their peers in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Recruitment firm Randstad asked 45,000 employees around the world about their levels of happiness, and found that only two thirds of British workers were satisfied with their current employer.
There is some advice for employers though - Randstad Chief Executive Mark Bull has suggested that employing people of different ages could boost a firm's overall job satisfaction levels.
Mr Bull told BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money: "Fulfilment... is much higher in those under 25 than those over 55, so balancing the age groups in your workforce can help."
