Short term or long term gain?

What is a long time to wait for a reward? A few days or weeks, or can you wait for months or even years for something you want?

The familiar challenge of quick results versus delayed gratification also faces the men and women running some of the biggest companies in the world - do they go for the fast buck, or focus on making really big riches for their shareholders years, or even decades, down the line?
