Government scheme to cut national insurance revised
Figures out today suggest take up of the government's National Insurance Contribution Holiday introduced in George Osborne's first budget is at a record low.
The Treasury has said that "this scheme benefited thousands of businesses and our new scheme means every business and charity in the country is now automatically entitled to a £2,000 cut in national insurance."
Graeme Fisher from the Federation of Small Businesses advised the government on this scheme in the past - he told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast "the new scheme is far simpler".
