Microsoft fined over web browsers
Microsoft has been fined 561m euros ($731m; £484m) for failing to promote a selection of web browsers alongside its own.
The European Commission said that for more than a year the internet giant reneged on an earlier promise to give users a choice of browser.
The penalty is the first time that Brussels has fined a company for failing to comply with a so-called commitments decision.
