IFS predicts need for future tax rises

The Institute for Fiscal Studies has predicted that the next government will need to raise taxes to deal with the UK's debt.

IFS director Paul Johnson told BBC News that the institute's Green Budget report found the government is likely to have to borrow more, with cuts in public spending alone not be enough to balance the books.
