Legal Ombudsman says homebuyers being let down by lawyers
Poor service from law firms is adding to the stress of buying a house according to a new report.
The Legal Ombudsman says things like fees coming in higher than those originally quoted, delays, poor advice, and an inability to follow instructions are just some of the ways homebuyers are being let down, particularly by fixed fee and no-move-no-fee firms.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast, Adam Sampson described these as "conveyancing factories".
