Asia travel sector set to grow, despite airline losses

Across Asia, regional airlines have not been performing well recently.

Malaysian Airlines turned in a loss for the 2011 business year. Cathay Pacific posted a 60% fall in full year profit last year. The Hong Kong carrier also warned of a challenging operating environment this year.

In spite of those numbers, Robert Bailey of the travel solutions and services firm Abacus International is positive that Asia will lead the growth in the travel sector. He explains why.
