Euro breakup 'not realistic' says ABN Amro chairman
The chairman of Dutch bank ABN Amro says the chances of the euro breaking up are almost nil, because of the complexities and consequences of such an event.
Speaking during a trip to Singapore, Gerrit Zalm also said Europe was now expected to fall into recession, but growth in other markets like Asia would continue because of the strength of government finances to provide a stimulus if needed.
