Middle East unrest affects aviation

The political turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa is having a big impact on airlines across the world.

The International Air Transport Association says airline profits this year will be cut by nearly 50% because of higher oil prices, largely due to the unrest.

Nevertheless, some of the most resilient airlines in the world are based in the region.

Even during the difficult times of the downturn, carriers here continued to grow.
