Parking charge guidance 'to be scrapped' says minister
The Government has announced it is scrapping parking charge guidance to local councils, which currently instructs them to put up parking charges to get people out of their cars and into public transport.
Speaking to BBC Breakfast, decentralisation minister Greg Clark said the change in regulation will allow councils to decide on suitable pricing for parking, and not be restricted by government guidelines.
Current regulations are "neither green nor good for the economy", he says.
