The Isle of Man aims to be the home for billionaires

2 July 2014 Last updated at 18:59 BST

The Manx Government is aiming to attract the 'super rich' to live on the Isle of Man, after a relaxation in planning laws allowed bigger homes to be built.

A £30m mansion, Ballamona, is being marketed to high-net-worth individuals across the world.

Simon Pickering, head of retail financial services, said: "We have had a Tier 1 immigration investment from a Russian family this week."

Captain Tony Corlett said he hoped that The Private Jet Company would soon be expanding.

"People have realised that from the Isle of Man you can travel anywhere in the world," he said.
