The Chief Minister of Indian-administered Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, has warned that changing its status in the country's constitution could have a large impact on the region.

The Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, which borders Pakistan, enjoys special autonomous status under Article 370 of the Indian constitution.

The recently appointed BJP government in India has called for a discussion over its status.

Speaking to BBC Hindi's Rajesh Joshi, Mr Abdullah said that he would be willing to have a debate over Article 370.
