Thousands of people are due to take part in Armistice Day commemorations around Wales to honour those who have died since World War One.
Assembly Presiding Officer Rosemary Butler AM will lead a two-minute silence at the Senedd in Cardiff.
It will also be observed at a memorial in Swansea while an air raid siren marks the start of tributes in Wrexham.
Welsh Secretary David Jones is striking a £5 Remembrance Day coin at the Royal Mint, Llantrisant, near Cardiff.
Some people in Wrexham told Good Morning Wales what they will be thinking of during the two minutes' silence at 11:00 GMT.
