President Obama has warned Americans to take Hurricane Sandy very seriously as the powerful storm bears down on the east coast of the United States.
Several states have declared emergencies, closed schools and shut down transport systems while New York City has issued a mandatory evacuation for hundreds of thousands of residents of low-lying areas.
Jack Hogan filmed heavy winds at a beach in Red Bank near where he lives in central New Jersey, US on Monday around 08:00 EDT (12:00 GMT).
