Tata Comms on India reforms

The head of Tata Communications, Vinod Kumar, tells the BBC that the Indian government's recent economic reforms, which include opening up the retail sector to global supermarket chains, are good for the country and will help companies like his.

He hopes the reforms will help to boost local industry and the wider economy, as well as improve the profile of India around the world.

This is particularly welcome during the global economic slowdown, he says.
