Manx residents welcome Esther Rantzen OAP helpline plan

ChildLine founder Esther Rantzen is hoping to launch a pilot for a new help line service for the elderly in the Isle of Man in November.

The charity will provide a 24-hour help service in the same way which ChildLine works for young people.

Silver Line could be piloted for three months starting in November.

Annie Wallace, 91, said: "I don't speak to anybody apart from my two daughters. I think the service would be an answer to people's prayers."
