Development near Nairobi to fill East Africa skills gap

The Kenyan government is buidling a city-sized IT business park to confirm its place as the high-tech capital of Africa.

Located 60 kilometres (37.3 miles) outside Nairobi, Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka says it will be bigger and better planned than the capital.

Mark Kaigwa, an African technology blogger, told 5 liveUp All Night why the government hopes the development will entice firms away from the Silicon Valley in California and choose the Silicon Savannah instead.
