'Helping euro will help China'

China has pledged to support Europe amid its debt crisis.

According to a government website, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said that "China has confidence in Europe and the euro and that they will work with the international community to continue using a variety of means to EU efforts in responding to the sovereign debt crisis".

His comments come as the EU leaders kick off a two-day meeting on how to resolve the debt crisis.

Li Gang Liu, Head of Greater China Economics at ANZ in Beijing, tells the BBC how he sees current eurozone-China trade relations.
