Almost a tenth of travellers avoid using airports because of the stressful experience

Almost a tenth of travellers have avoided holidaying abroad because they find the airport experience too stressful, according to a new survey.

What's so unpleasant about preparing for air travel?

Travel journalist Peter Nunn told BBC Radio 5 live: "I've got a total love, hate relationship with airports."

"I love them because it means I'm off on holiday, or I'm travelling somewhere," Nunn explained to Tony Livesey.

"I dislike that whole stressful period... Who said it's not the destination, it's the getting there?"
