Four Kenyans, who allege they were tortured during the Mau Mau rebellion against British colonial rule in the 1950s, have begun legal proceedings against the UK government.
One of those seeking compensation is seventy-eight-year-old Ndiku Mutua.
He told BBC World Service he was castrated after being detained as a Mau Mau suspect.
