Japan's nuclear crisis threatens shipping lane transport

One industry badly affected by Japan's crisis has been shipping. Although many ports re-opened quite quickly following the quake and tsunami, the disruption to factories and exports means there is relatively little to transport.

Now, radiation is seeping into the sea surrounding the Fukushima nuclear plant. Leading to raised safety concerns for shipping lines and their crews.
