Radio 1 DJ experiences life in Africa's biggest slum

Help

BBC Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates struggled with the reality of extreme poverty when he moved into Africa's largest slum for Comic Relief.

Along with EastEnders' Samantha Womack, Lenny Henry and Angela Rippon the celebrities were stripped of all their possessions and left alone to live, work and survive in Kibera, where prostitution, infant mortality and deadly diseases are an everyday reality.

But DJ and TV presenter Reggie Yates found that people living there are as addicted to watching Premiership football as they are in the UK.

Famous Rich and in the Slums is on BBC One on Thursday 3 March 2011 at 2100 GMT.
