How BP is trying to stop the Deepwater Horizon oil leak

BP has installed a new sealing cap on the leaking Gulf of Mexico oil well, company officials say.

It is hoped the new cap will stop the leak and capture the oil before more of it can pour into the sea but it could be another two days before BP know whether the latest attempt is successful.

The explosion of the Deepwater Horizon rig in April killed 11 people.
