Solar-powered plane lands safely after 26-hour flight

Help

An experimental solar-powered plane has landed in Switzerland after a successful test flight.

It took to the air and landed twenty six hours later without using a drop of fuel.

The plane carried just a single pilot, but its inventors say they hope the combination of renewable energy and light materials could transform the transport industry.

Roger Harrabin reports.
