Trains resume in two counties after bridge problem

Train services in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire have resumed after early morning disruption because of a problem with a swing bridge at Norwich.

National Express East Anglia trains between Norwich, Diss and Ely were suspended because of work on Trowse bridge over the River Yare.

The company said trains were running but with 30-minute delays on services.

Train services were expected to return to normal during the day, a National Express East Anglia spokesman said.

Network Rail has spent £175,000 on repairs to Trowse swing bridge.
