Celebrities in charity golf day in Northumberland

Celebrity athletes who took part in a golf day at a Northumberland resort have raised £15,000 for charity.

The annual event at Slaley Hall is held in aid of Comrades of Children Overseas (COCO).

Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn and cricketers Steve Harmison and Sir Ian Botham were among those who teed off at the event last month.

The amount raised has just been released. Steve Harmison won the tournament.

COCO was founded by athlete Steve Cram in 1998.
